Miercurea fara cuvinte...(Wordless Wednesday) In vizita la Manastirea Pangarati...(To Pangarati Monastery)

Saptamana trecuta,noi si cumnatul proaspat sosit din Italia, am vizitat o manastire deosebit de frumoasa ,despre care stiam destul de putine lucruri.

Denumirea de Pângarati provine dupa istoricul Nicolae Iorga de la un posibil calugar Pangratie care "se pare a fost un pustnic de demult dând numele pârâului din apropiere".
Marele istoric spune ca numele de Pângarati nu are "nici un amestec unei idei de pângarire".
Biserica Manastirii Pângarati a fost zidita în anul 1560 de catre evlaviosul domn Alexandru Lapusneanu si s-a sfintit de catre Grigorie Mitropolit al Sucevei.




Last week we viseted Pangarati Monastery.The Pangarati- Neamt Monastery is part of the string of monasteries in the Ceahlau mountains and the Bistrita Valley in Moldavia, eastern Romania, 15 km north of Piatra Neamt. This old establishment stands out among other Orthodox structures in Romania by that it has two levels. Pangarati Monastery still boasts three icons dating back to the 16th century, as well as a number of old holy objects, breviaries, books of psalms and other books in Slavonic.

In livada bunicii...(In the grandmother orchard...)

Saptamana trecuta copiii au fost la bunicii de la Buhusi-Bacau. Oraselul este mic ,dar pentru noi toti constituie o adevarata oaza de liniste si verdeata...Acesta avea inainte de revolutie cea mai mare fabrica de textile din sud-estul Europei ,acum insa numarul angajatilor este in jur de 200.Ce imi place mie este faptul ca acest mic orasel este destul de aproape de Piatra Neamt,de Cheile Bicazului,de Lacul Rosu,de manastirile:Varatec,Stihla,Sihastria,Agapia,de statiunea Slanic Moldova, ceea ce ne da posibilitatea sa le vizitam destul de des.Tot langa Buhusi se afla manastirea Runc construita in 1457 de Stefan cel Mare.Copiii sunt incantati de toate aceste locuri ,dar mai ales de via ,gradina si livada bunicilor...



Last week we are going to grandparents in Buhusi_Bacau.Buhuşi is a town in Bacău County, Romania with a population of about 18,980. It was first mentioned in the 15th century when it was named "Bodeşti" and was a property of an important family of Boyars named "Buhuş".
The town had the biggest textile factory in south-eastern Europe. But the factory has drastically reduced its capabilities after 1989 and currently employs less than 200 workers. The Runc Monastery (built in 1457), located near Buhuşi, is one of the famous monasteries built by Stephen the Great of Moldavia in Moldavia during the Othoman Wars in the 15th century.
